Crates are a fantastic way to reward your players, offer vote rewards, or build a functional store system on your server. ExcellentCrates is a modern, feature-rich, and highly customizable crate plugin. This guide will show you how to install and configure it on your MCServerHost server.
Install ExcellentCrates and Dependencies
ExcellentCrates requires Vault, an economy plugin (like EssentialsX) and NightCore to handle crate keys and purchases, along with a hologram plugin if you want floating text above your crates.
- Ensure your server is running a plugin compatible software like Paper, Spigot, or Purpur.
- Download ExcellentCrates (and its required dependencies like Vault, NightCore and a hologram provider if needed).

- Log into your MCServerHost dashboard, open the File Manager, and navigate to the
pluginsfolder. - Upload all downloaded
.jarfiles into thepluginsfolder.
- On the top left click "Restart" or "Start" server to load the plugins and generate their configuration folders.

Create Your First Crate

- Open your editor again (
/crates editor) - Click Keys

- Select New Key

Once you have created your key:
- Open your editor again (
/crates editor). - Select your crate from the menu
- Click Cost Options.

- Select Vacant Slot.

- Give it a unique name.
- Select "Currency" to charge money or "Key" to require a key.
- After creation, click on your newly made Cost Option.

- Click on Vacant Slot

Test Your Crate
Congratulations! Your crate is ready to test. Run the following command to give yourself a key and try it out:
/crates key give <UserName> <KeyName> <Amount>
