What is a World Reset?

Resetting deletes your current world so the server generates a brand new one. Servers do this for seasonal resets, map changes, or starting over after a fresh install.

Resetting With a New Folder Name

The safest way keeps your old world files on disk:

  1. Stop your server by pressing "Stop" in the Console.

  2. Open server.properties Use the File Manager in your server control panel.

  3. Find the line: level-name=world and change it to something new, like: level-name=world2 image1

  4. Start your server A fresh world generates under the new name. Your old "world" folder stays untouched as a backup.

Resetting by Deleting

If you don't need the old world at all:

  1. Stop your server.
  2. Open the File Manager and delete the "world" folder (plus world_nether and world_the_end if you want those reset too).
  3. Start your server and a new world generates.

Conclusion

A world reset is just deleting or renaming the world folder. Keep a backup of anything you want to remember, then start fresh.
