Learn how to fix the "You Are Not Invited to Play on This Server" error on Minecraft Bedrock

The "You are not invited to play on this server" error in Minecraft Bedrock Edition happens when the server has a whitelist enabled and your Microsoft Gamertag isn't added to it.

Try the following steps to fix it:

If you want to keep your server secure and only allow trusted friends or specific community members to join, you should add your Microsoft Gamertag directly to the whitelist rather than disabling security entirely.

  1. Go to your MCServerHost dashboard and open the Console.
  2. Run the following command to add your gamertag:
whitelist add <Your Gamertag>
  1. Reload to apply the changes:
whitelist reload
  1. Return to your Minecraft client, refresh your server list, and attempt to reconnect. You should now pass the authentication check successfully.

Method 2: Completely Disable the Whitelist (Quickest Solution)

If you are setting up a public world, testing configurations, or simply don't want to deal with managing player lists every time a new friend wants to join, you can choose to turn the whitelist feature off entirely.

  1. Go to your MCServerHost dashboard and open the Console.
  2. Run the following command to turn off the whitelist:
whitelist off
  1. With the restriction removed, any player with your server's IP address and port can now join freely without manual authorization.

Heads up! After disabling the whitelist, anyone can join and impersonate other players if your server is running in offline mode. Be careful who you give OP permissions to and secure your accounts.
