How to Create a Free Minecraft Server at MCServerHost

Playing Minecraft with your friends adds a sense of adventure and teamwork to the game, ultimately making the game more exciting and enjoyable. However, to make that happen, you would require a Minecraft server on which you and your friends can play together. While setting up a personal Minecraft server on your system can be a complicated process and hosting providers' charges are quite expensive, you can opt for MCServerHost, which provides their users with a free Minecraft server. The only catch is that you have to renew your server every once in a while in order to keep it active.

On that, MCServerHost also provides its clients/users with full control over their server, allowing them to configure it according to their needs and requirements. To get started, you can follow this guide in order to claim your free server at MCServerHost.

Creating a Minecraft Server

After you are done creating an account, you can start setting up your server. Follow the steps below to configure and create your free Minecraft server.

  1. Navigate directly to the free server creation page at https://www.mcserverhost.com/create-free-server. If you want to view some of our premium paid plans first, you can visit https://www.mcserverhost.com/products and proceed from there.

Create Free Server Page

  1. Fill in the required fields to configure your server:

    • Server Name: Enter a unique name for your server.

    • Subdomain (Optional): Customize the free [servername123].mcsh.io subdomain.

    • Location: Select the region closest to you: England, London; USA, New York; or Asia, Singapore.

Note: If no locations are available, you may not be able to create a free server at that time. This means all available capacity is currently in use. You can check node usage on our MCServerHost Status page.

    • Edition: Choose between Minecraft Java and Minecraft Bedrock.

    • Server Description (Optional): Add a short description for your server.

  2. Click the checkbox that says "I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy", and then click the Launch Server button.

  3. A popup will appear on your screen saying that your server is ready.
