How to Add Subusers to Your Server at MCServerHost
Running a Minecraft server all by yourself can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when managing plugins, files, and server settings. To make things easier, you can add Subusers to give other people access to your server so you can work together on it with friends or co-owners. To get started, you can follow this guide in order to add and manage subusers on your server.
Navigating to the Subusers Tab
To begin adding a new subuser, you will first need to access your server's management panel:
- Log in to your MCServerHost account and select the server you want to manage.
- On the left sidebar, locate and click on Subusers.

Adding a New Subuser
Once inside the Subusers tab, you can add another person to manage your server.
- Click the Add Subuser button.

- In the Username or Email input field, enter either the registered username or the email address of the person that you want to add to your server.
Managing Permissions
After entering the user's details, you can manage the specific permissions you want to grant them. You can use one of the quick presets or customize them manually:
- Full Access: Grants all available permissions, allowing them to manage everything on the server. However, they cannot delete the server itself, manage Subusers or access the Server Settings tab.
- Read-only Access: Grants only read permissions, meaning they can view files and settings but cannot make any changes.
- Basic Access: Grants access to view the console and basic file viewing.

Alternatively, you can manage custom permissions by simply clicking on the checkboxes below the presets. There, you can toggle everything on or off, such as viewing the console, editing files, adding allocations, and more.
- Once that's done and you have configured the permissions to your liking, click the Add Subuser button at the bottom to add them to the server.

Editing or Deleting a Subuser
If you ever need to change a subuser's permissions or remove their access entirely, you can easily do so:
- Go back to the Subusers tab.
- Locate the subuser in the list and simply press the Edit button (to adjust permissions) or the Delete button next to the subuser to remove them completely.

Conclusion
Adding subusers is a great way to share the workload of running a Minecraft server with your trusted friends or staff members. By carefully managing their permissions, you can ensure your server remains secure while still getting the help you need.
