What is a World Border?
The world border is an invisible boundary that limits how far players can go. It keeps a community together, guides players through custom builds, and reduces lag by stopping distant chunks from loading.
Setting the Border
- Open your server's Console.
- Set the center of the border:
worldborder center X Z
Replace X and Z with your coordinates. Matching the center to your world spawn is recommended. Press F3 in-game to see your coordinates. You can see them in the top left in version 1.21.9 and below, otherwise you can find it on the right side of your screen.
- Set the border size:
worldborder set SIZE
SIZE is the width in blocks. For example: worldborder set 5000
