How to Set Up an Economy With Vault

What is Vault?
Vault is a bridge plugin that lets other plugins share one economy and permission system. It doesn't do anything by itself, but plugins like shops, jobs and reward systems need it to talk to each other.
Note: You'll also need an economy plugin that actually holds the money, like EssentialsX (which includes one) or XConomy.
Getting Started & Installation
- Go to Minecraft, and then go to the "Plugin Installer" tab.
- Search for "Vault" and install the latest version.
- Make sure an economy plugin is installed too (EssentialsX covers this).
- Restart your server so both load.

Checking That It Works
Run this command:
/vault-info
It shows whether an economy provider was found and which plugin is handling money. If it lists EssentialsX (or another economy plugin), everything is connected.
Giving Players Money
With EssentialsX installed:
/eco give PlayerName 100
That adds $100 to a player's balance. Other useful ones:
/eco take PlayerName 100removes money./bal PlayerNameshows a balance./baltopshows the richest players.
Important Considerations
- Order Matters: Install the economy plugin before plugins that depend on it.
- One Economy Only: Only one economy plugin should be active, or balances can conflict.
- Permissions: Money commands need operator status or permissions from LuckPerms.
Conclusion
With Vault and an economy plugin installed, your shop, jobs and rank plugins all share the same money system. It's the base layer for most server features.
