What is Cardboard?
Cardboard is a Fabric mod that adds support for the Bukkit/Spigot plugin API. It lets you run plugins made for Bukkit, Spigot and Paper on a Fabric server. Some plugins may not work, so check what you're installing.
Getting Started & Installation
Cardboard needs three things that all match your Minecraft version, and they're all on the panel:
- Go to Minecraft, and then go to the "Modrinth Mods" tab.
- Search for and install "Cardboard", "Fabric API", and "iCommonLib" for your server's Minecraft version.
- Restart your server so it loads.

Using Plugins
Once Cardboard is loaded, you can add Bukkit/Spigot plugins:
- Upload the plugin .jar into the plugins folder in your server files.
- Restart the server.
Plugin commands and config work like they would on a Spigot or Paper server.
Important Considerations
- Version Match: Fabric API, Cardboard and iCommonLib must all match your Minecraft version.
- Plugin Compatibility: Not every Bukkit plugin works on Cardboard. Test each one.
- Backups: Make backups before adding new plugins in case one causes problems.
Conclusion
With Cardboard installed, your Fabric server can run Bukkit and Spigot plugins. Match the versions, drop the files in, and add plugins like normal.
