What happened to my world?

I just logged on to my world after having major issues yesterday with being signed out every 5 - 10 minutes, and I have discovered my world is gone. I have been signed into a completely different seed. What the heck is happening here? Have I just lost all the progress I had made and built? This is incredibly enraging. Please someone tell me what has happened!
