Hi everyone,

I’m having a problem with my MCServerHost server randomly shutting down while we are actively playing.

Minecraft version: 1.21.1 Fabric Players online: usually 2 players

What happens:

  • We are playing normally.
  • The server suddenly disconnects us out of nowhere.
  • On the client side, we get: “Internal Exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset.”
  • The panel has also shown “Power Action Failed” when trying to start/stop/restart the server.
  • This is happening even when we are in chunks/areas that were already discovered, so we are not exploring new terrain or generating new chunks when it crashes.

From the logs, it does not look like a normal mod crash. The server starts successfully, players can join, and I don’t see a clear crash stack trace pointing to a specific mod. Instead, the log shows messages like:

“Server marked as stopping...” “Could not get online players list for shutdown transfer.” “Stopping server” “Saving players” “Saving worlds” “All dimensions are saved”

So it looks like the server is being stopped by the host/panel/shutdown transfer system, or maybe the container/power state is failing, rather than the game crashing from chunk generation.

Has anyone else had this issue on MCServerHost? Is this caused by the free hosting/panel system, a server power state issue, or something in my Fabric setup?

I would appreciate any help. I want to fix this without resetting, reinstalling, or deleting my world files.
