It needs java 8 and in the software settings it says java 8 but when i start the server it gaves:

which in a human language means "Ohh sorry man you have a newer java version,you need java 8 and 8 only" I tried changing the version to a newer minecraft version and back to 1.7.10,didnt do anything.I have java 8u205 from Oracle but sftp doesnt lets me access to the core files which is where java file is located.Help please.
